I’m Kim Joyce — the human behind Pawz and Balanze LLC and CFO/partner at Life & Taxes Advisory Solutions, LLC.
Pawz and Balanze is my personal brand and education space built around one simple idea: Chaos, Coffee & Clean Books. It is where I share plain-English bookkeeping, tax-season readiness, cleanup, and small business finance guidance for owners who are tired of guessing what their numbers mean.
My strongest lane is construction and trades bookkeeping, especially cleanup/catch-up work, job costing, reporting, systems, and helping business owners understand which jobs are actually profitable and which ones are quietly draining cash.
I have 20+ years of hands-on accounting and finance experience, including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Xero, FreshBooks, payroll support, reconciliations, reporting, cleanup work, and small business systems.
My approach is simple: no shame, no scare tactics, and no making business owners feel stupid for not knowing accounting rules. Just practical next steps, clean books, and numbers that actually make sense.
Outside of the numbers, I’m a hoodie-wearing, coffee-powered, purple-loving business owner who believes work should support real life — not swallow it whole.
I love books, crafts, music, puzzles, and the kind of quiet creative time that helps balance out the chaos of tax season. The “Pawz” in Pawz and Balanze is very real too — animals are part of the brand personality and a constant reminder that business should leave room for the life you are building.
Pawz and Balanze LLC is my personal brand, education space, and business entity. It is also a co-owner of Life & Taxes Advisory Solutions, LLC.
Client services are provided through Life & Taxes Advisory Solutions, where I serve as CFO/partner and support bookkeeping systems, workflow design, done-for-you bookkeeping delivery, tax preparation support, software training, and review work.
In plain English: Pawz is where I show up, teach, explain, and build trust. Life & Taxes is where client service work happens.
